The New England Dressage Association, (NEDA) is pleased to announce Jan Brink will headline the 2026 Absorbine/ NEDA Symposium. Fresh off the successful Dressage Infusion event in Wellington this winter, Jan comes to New England for the first time to share his philosophy of training and teaching riders.  The Symposium will take place on October 17th and 18th, at the Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Center in South Hadley, Massachusetts.

Competing for Sweden, Jan Brink had a hugely successful career as a dressage competitor. He competed in five World Equestrian Games, the first in Rome on Björsells Fontana, and the rest with his great partner, the stallion, Björsells Briar.

With Briar, he competed in three Olympic Games: 2000 (9th), 2004 (7th) and 2008 (12th). Jan also was seven times international medalist, seven times Swedish Champion, eight times finalist in the World Cup, and winner of the Aachen Championship 2005.

Jan Brink retired from international competition in 2009 to focus on running Tullstrop Dressage Stable, a very successful training, education, sales and breeding barn that he built from scratch and developed since he was in his early 20s.

At Tullstrop, Jan trains both horses and riders from a young age up to the highest level of the sport. He has an eye for finding young horse prospects and develops them with good horsemanship to become future Grand Prix stars. Jan’s training and teaching is all about making happy athletes. He develops both horse and rider to their full potential and focuses on finding the right future competition partner for each individual.

Jan himself trained with Kyra Kyrklund for nearly 30 years during his competitive career and is now hosting training with Kyra at Tullstorp once a month for his training group riders in Knytkalaset.

The Symposium will feature horses and riders from just starting their dressage career to seasoned Grand Prix horses.  We will highlight riders from the adult amateur, young rider and professional ranks.

NEDA is honored to announce that Absorbine is returning as the title sponsor for this prestigious event. Absorbine,” The Horse World’s Most Trusted Name in Horse Care Products”, has made it their mission to find a better way to care for horses for over 134 years. In keeping with this mission, Absorbine is excited to announce the launch of their new product, Honest to Goodness® Upcycled Horse Treats - featuring just 9 wholesome ingredients – no added sugar, corn, soy, wheat, or artificial ingredients - and using upcycled apples and bananas to help fight food waste.
