Adam Steffens-Smienk is a accomplished American Grand Prix dressage rider based in Jupiter, Florida, just thirty minutes north of Wellington, a hub for equestrian sports. With a solid foundation built over the last nine years under the guidance of Olympian Debbie McDonald and more than twelve years with Olympian Christine Traurig, Adam continues to hone his skills and expertise in dressage under training from Christoph Koschel.
His competitive experience includes participation in multiple U.S. National Championships for young horses, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport. Notably, in 2023, Adam had the honor of representing the United States at the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Horses, where he competed in the prestigious FEI 6-year-old division on his horse, CANDOITs Fabuleux Coeur OLD.
Currently, Adam is focused on developing his string of Candoit Horses, progressing them from young prospects to Grand Prix competitors.
