DEVELOPMENT DAYS (Ride-Review or Ride-Review-Ride) are on the Saturdays before each of our Sunday Schooling Shows. They offer lessons focused on test riding. This is an opportunity to ride a judged test(s) of your choice with a clinician who may be the judge the next day.
- Each rider is given a maximum total of 30 minutes with the clinician.
- After you ride your judged test (selected when you sign up), you have the choice to have the clinician give you a mini-lesson focused on areas that need work to improve parts of your test for the rest of the time, or have her/him give you more brief pointers before you ride the test again.
- Scored tests are returned to the rider at the end of the lesson with written comments.
- Clinic attire is fine, show attire is not needed.
- Stabling is available at GMHA for one or two nights so you can even make a fun weekend of it with an educational Development Day on Saturday followed by the Schooling Show on Sunday. If you are only riding on Development Day and want stabling, arrange through the show secretary. If you are also, showing on Sunday and want stabling, this is done with your show entry.
Ride Cost:
$55.00 CVDA members
$75.00 Non-members
Notes:
- CVDA members have priority in entering up to the closing date.
- Riders may sign up for more than one half hour time slot but to give everyone an opportunity, more than one ride per person will only be allowed if there is space. Any additional entry paid will be refunded if there is not a spot for the second ride.
- Entries for the Sunday Schooling Shows are separate. Click here for more info and to enter.
